Who is Pastor Josh?

About Me
I’m a husband, father, pastor, and a professional introvert. With over 20 years in ministry, I’ve learned how God uses quiet voices in a loud world. This blog is where I reflect on that journey — the challenges, the insights, and the grace that carries us through.

I completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from ACTS Seminaries – Trinity Western University in 2024 with my final project titled, “An Investigation into Best Leadership Practices for Introverted Pastors Working in a Team Context.” You can view my presentation of findings here. If you would like to read the project, head over here and scroll down to my paper.

I have been married to Rebecca since 1999 and we have 7 amazing daughters. Since we had so much spare time to kill, we have been foster parents since 2021. I have been a youth pastor since 2003, serving three churches, currently at Link Church in Medicine Hat since 2011. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching CFL football, especially the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and reworking my guitar pedalboard.

I am open to speaking opportunities, including youth retreats and conferences, leadership events (I would love to help your team grow in understanding and valuing differing personality types!), and pulpit supply. Feel free to contact me about speaking at your event.
